The   computer  center  at  NIST  is  equipped  with  two  Windows  NT  servers  and  one LINUX   Server, 300 nodes with  Windows  98/XP  interconnected through Ethernet  based  LAN.  Steps  are  being  taken  to fully automate  the  various  activities  of  the  institute  like Academic   Administration,   Library,    Administration,  Finance,   Placement   and   Management   Development  Programme.

The existing IT infrastructure at NIST Computer Center includes :

The  interconnectivity  of  Computer  System with  Heterogeneous  OS  Platform  through  Ethernet  based  LAN and  software  resident  on  any  server   can  be  accessed  from  any  terminal/client.

WiFi CAMPUS:

NIST is going WiFi at its campus.
